Design # 5 (Week 5 of 2011)
Here is my very first digital painting. It started with a sketch on the paper, transitioned into an Adobe Illustrator file and then moved onto Adobe Photoshop.
I did not want it to be an exact replica of the sketch, that is why I tweaked the design and made it more of a Modern Art.
I am dying to read your comments. Pretty please

I took a tutorial to learn How to make Circular Designs (awesome info). Hope you liked it.
If you plan to use it , feel free to do so .
Looking forward to your feedback .

Digital Designing being a total alienated arena to me I thought to take it up as a challenge.
There I was sitting in my fully dark class with other students and in front of a computer screen that was launching Adobe Illustrator CS4 . Ok now frankly telling you my heart was racing and I was very excited about learning a totally new skill. They say in time of recession Universities earn best.. now I know why? People go back to schools to refine their skills and get some new on the way.
Anyways!
Class started and I was absorbing everything nicely till the time came to learn about BIZARRE Curves (OOPS sorry read as BEZIER Curves). Instructor told us all about it how to start, finish and to draw. I got it (so i thought). When it was time to draw one I was the only one 5 steps behind the class. ( Now now no need to laugh.. remember it was a totally new concept to me .. )
Asked my Instructor about it .. he came and showed me. I tried to do it .. and POOF.. rather than a curve there was a straight line on my screen. I was so confused. I asked my instructor again ( a lil shyly) .. he came and told me once more. I gave it another try and there was another straight line in place of a curve.
Ok now I was really embarassed .. so now cowardly asked my instructor once again .. he came with a very nice smile ( read patient smile). I drew it once more and .. GOSH.. another straight line sticking out its tongue at me. Man Iwas furious now. I said to my instructor that this is something which my mind is totally detesting .. so please tell me how to do it one last time & he did. This time I ended up saying that I am not going to leave this class till I get the curves accurately. He laughed at my childish behavior but was very impressed, so that put me at an ease.
Okay now my class fellows left at 9 in night and I was the only one sitting till 9:30 or was it 9:45 (dont remember) along with my poor instructor ..
). I dreaw atleast 50 straight lines and I finally one curve came in picture. Ahh I was actually elated and felt like as if I have just won a war against those curves .
I was satisfied ( though still need to try em again just to be sure you know
). I felt great and I am sure my teacher felt relieved.
PS: Will post my first ever illustrator project soon
